After the most recent shootings in Nashville, again, when is enough enough of guns, especially assault weapons?
In Connecticut after the Sandy Hook Elementary School killings in Newtown, CT new laws were recently passed. Connecticut has passed universal background checks, expanded a ban on assault weapons and outlawed new high-capacity magazines. What are the results? Since 2014, the state has had a 41% reduction in homicides, and recorded the sixth-lowest gun rate death rate in the country in 2020.
