One thing we know for sure is that in this pandemic, the kids are losing academic ground. Parents are anxious, no one has the answers, but there are some things we can do. Be smart!
For one thing, you can hire supplemental help, if school is not enough. Get a tutor or a teacher or a coach. They can work with your child virtually or "live". Some parents will choose to send their kids back to school, others will keep them home. We suspect this year will be another complicated year with many parents struggling for additives.
Be thoughtful, fill in with what your child needs to maximize their potential. More active things? More creative things? Content work? Skill development? Do you know?
And while you're at it, think about social equity at whatever school your child goes to, because that really matters. READ, READ, READ and use this time to learn.
