Mattel in their Forward-Looking Statement says that 2020 was especially significant because they were actively committed to cultural relevance. This year's Barbie has a mask and makes sour dough bread! They started the I Can Be Career of the Year to inspire children to run for office when they grow up. The dolls have body and skin diversity. They have an Inspiring Women line of role model dolls.The also have wheelchair Barbies and Kens. Mattel is moving towards 100% recycled, recyclable, or bio based plastic materials in all their products and packaging.

Mattel even has a Gender-Neutral Doll, a doll for everyone.

Hasbro has just announced that the iconic Mr.Potato Head will now be joined by Potato Head, as a re-brand. Hasbro has also committed to phase out all plastic packaging by 2022.


Little Tike Toys has a new line of outdoor toys made from recycled plastic. Their go to colors were red, yellow and orange, now they will be greens and blues for a "Go Green" statement.
